Sinn Fein Councillor Arthur Rafferty has resigned his seat on Bundoran Town Council.

The first time Councillor was elected to the seat during the 2009 Local Elections.

However he says he is stepping down for personal reasons and work commitments.

It’s understood a co-option motion will be put down during the May monthly meeting of the Local Authority.

The Chair of the Sinn Fein grouping in Bundoran Town Council, Michael McMahon, has confirmed that the party is looking at a number of co-options possibilities.

A meeting to discuss who will become the new Sinn Fein Councillor on Bundoran Town Council will take this weekend.
