KILLYBEGS star Seamus Coleman is among illustrious nominees shortlisted today for the Professional Footballers’ Association’s Young Player of the Year award in England.
The Donegal native faces stiff competition for the gong, however, as the short-list also includes Arsenal’s Samir Nasri and Jack Wilshire, Manchester United’s Nani, Tottenham’s Gareth Bale and Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.
Bale and Nasri have also been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award, along with Carlos Tevez, Scott Parker, Charlie Adam and Nemanja Vidic.
Coleman’s nomination is recognition for a superb year for Everton.
And it will no doubt spark interest from bigger clubs – with Manchester United being linked with the €7M rated star.
