Gardai do not believe a fire started at Naomh Conaill’s GAA Club in Glenties was started deliberately.

A small amount of damage was caused to dressing rooms after the blaze.

Luckily a number of club members attending a meeting at the club spotted the fire and called the fire services.

It is believed the fire could have started in the boilerhouse area of the club.

Gardai say they are aware of the fire, but do not believe it was started deliberately.

Nobody was injured during the blaze.

A club spokesperson has indicated that damage to the facilities was minimal, and no weekend fixtures will be affected.

Naomh Conaill, whose star players include Leon Thompson and Dermot Molly, are the current County Champions, and also hold the league title.
