IT’S EASY TO GET BACK TO WORK – WE JUST NEED TO BEGIN AGAIN!

Are you a professional person sitting around the house having recently been made unemployed?

Do you feel like you have been left on the shelf when you should be in the jobs shop window?

The reality is that you are far from alone – and far from on the shelf.

Through not fault of your own, you are amongst thousands of professional people across Ireland who have now found themselves unemployed.

Ireland is experiencing an extraordinary unemployment crisis which is affecting professional people from all walks of life.

But the reality is that we cannot sit around and wait for another job to drop out of the sky and into our laps.

We must go out and start again and ensure that we are right back in the shop window when employers pass by looking for the right candidate!

And that is where the ICBE BEGIN AGAIN programme has the chance to give thousands of people a chance to do just that – begin again!

The programme not only introduces people to new skills or refreshes their old skills but it also gives them a mentor to ensure their redevelopment is right on track.

But above everything else it gives them the one thing that the workplace thrives on – contacts.

Employers are now well-aware of the high quality of applicant completing the Begin Again Programme and the proof of that is borne out in the job offers which are now flooding in for participants.

Since going nationwide in July 2010, the Begin Again programme has been successful in assisting over 200 candidates to return to meaningful careers.

And there is no reason why you cannot become another successful statistic who has managed to seize the chance and ‘begin again’.

A further three programmes will be run in the North West over the next few months.

And the reassuring news is that the programme does NOT affect people’s social welfare benefits.

This programme has been formulated with you in mind and there simply could not be a better time to upskill, retrain and revitalise your career.

And applying could not be easier.

The first step in getting back into the jobs market is to complete a simple Expression of Interest form with your C.V. outlining your skills and areas of interest.

The next step is to participate in a telephone interview to determine suitability and applicability.

And that’s where the real experience begins to kick in. Participants will then take part in 10 days formal training (spread over 14 weeks) designed to support those made redundant.

There will then be the opportunity to gain 12 weeks vital work experience during which people can put their skills to the test in a real work-life situation.

Each person’s development will be assessed and guided by their personal mentor to ensure they are reaching their maximum potential as they strive to get back into the workplace.

The following are the three programmes are on offer in the North West.

So the only question that remains is – what are you waiting for?

The 3 programmes are :
