GALA NIGHT TO SELECT DONEGAL ROSE AT RADISSON BLU

Did you ever think you had what he takes to be a Rose of Tralee?

Well now is your chance as the Radisson blu Hotel in Letterkenny hosts the Donegal selection night on May 7th.

The Donegal Rose and Escort chosen on the night will go forward to the regional finals and hopefully a shot at the overall title in Tralee in August.

The gala dinner event, which includes a champagne reception, is not just a great night out but will also be for a very worthy cause – the Renal Patient Comfort Fund at Letterkenny General Hospital.

The good news is that one young Donegal woman has already been chosen to strut her stuff in the finals.

Grainne Boyle from Gartan in Churchill has been chosen as the Dubai Rose.

So there’s no reason why we can’t have another Donegal Rose to show the people of Ireland and the world what beauty, brains (and modesty!) we have here in the North West.

And the good news for sisters, mothers, cousins, aunts, or grandmothers who think they might know someone special that would make the ideal Rose of Donegal is that there’s still time.

The closing date is not until tomorrow, Thursday, and anybody who wants to enter can contact the organisers at donegalroseoftralee@gmail.com

The same goes for any potential escort who may want to become an escort for the 32 Roses come August 19th.

They must be complete gentlemen, single and aged between 21 and 30 years of age.

Tickets for the event, which also include entertainment, are priced at €35 and can be got by contacting the Radisson blue directly.
