GARDA sources have confirmed that a gun produced during a row in Letterkenny earlier this week was a replica weapon.

Officers are continuing to investigate an incident which began at a house in the town in a dispute over a car.

Twelve people were at the scene when the gun was produced. Gardai despatched an Emegency Response team to the scene. A file has been sent to the DPP.
