Naomh Columba 03.05.2011

We enjoyed a bumper day in Páirc na nGael on Sunday last, but unfortunately for us Cill Chartha came away with the spoils in the senior match, running out one point winners. Final score: N Columba 2.07 Cill Chartha 0.14. Our reserves did well to win, again on a one point margin: N Columba 1.10 Cill Chartha 0.12.

We are set to play Bundoran away this Saturday evening, but were awaiting confirmation of fixture at the time of going to press. Please check locally for details. Our 3rd team also got up and running at the weekend, but lost out to St Eunans on O’Donnell Park on Sunday evening.

They now travel to Glenswilly this Sunday, with throw-in set for 1pm. Anyone interested in joining the 3rd team is most welcome, and is asked to contact Connie O’Gara or Damien Carr. Our ladies will have their next competitive game this Sunday, when they play host to Ard a Rátha in the league. Throw-in set for 12 noon in Páirc na nGael. Cúrsaí faoi-aois: Our minors suffered defeat at the hands of St Johns on Friday evening last, losing out on a score-line of 1.12 to 0.09.

Our under 16 lads played very well to overcome Naomh Conaill in Páirc na nGael on Monday afternoon, final score: 1.05 to 0.02. Our under tens will have their first blitz this Saturday, May 7th, starting at 11am sharp. Naomh Columba play host to Na Rossa, Naomh Bríd & Naomh Ultan. Club Donegal: The Club Donegal package costs €20 p/month for 12 months, and covers entry charge to all club games within the county.

Participants also get a county jacket or jersey & an umbrella or scarf. This scheme helps towards Naomh Columba’s fees to the county board also, so any support would be much appreciated. Please contact Noel Ellis or any other member of the committee for further details.  Níor bhaineadh lotto na seachtaine seo caite, uimhreacha 8.9.21.25. Cuireadh duaiseanna aitheantais chuig na daoine seo a leanas: Michelle Gillespie, Mín an Aoire, Teague Mc Ginley, An Fhothair, Paddy Agnew, Dún Dealgan, Séan & Wendy Mc Ginley, Suidheamh, Connie O’Gara. Lotto na seachtaine seo chugainn ná €3000.
