GAA: GLENSWILLY CLUB NOTES

The lotto numbers for this week were 1,18,19,20 and the match 3 winner was Rosleen mc Hugh. Next weeks jackpot is €2,140. Sellers this week are Susan Carr and Maggie mCDaid.

This Friday evening at 7pm there will be a clean up down at the clubhouse and pitch to prepare for the Glenties match this Sunday, please could as many people as possible attend.

Over 20 people took part over 6 weeks in the sponsored slim in aid of underage in the club and as well as dieting they were involved in walking and circuit training. Over 20 stone was lost between the 20 participants and €5,300 was raised.

A barbecue was held in the clubhouse last Friday night. The man who lost the most weight was Billy Mc Daid and the lady was Aisling Mc Daid. Both winners were rewarded with a weekend for 2 in The Glasshouse, Sligo. The Club would like to thank all the Slimmers and anyone who sponsored them. Also many thanks to Suzanne Carroll for her assistance and to the boys who organised the Circuits.

A big thank you to the prize sponsors The Glasshouse Sligo, Charlie McClafferty, Victor Wilkin, Paddy Tinney, Donegal Sports, The Silver Tassie Hotel, The Wine Buff, The Sandwich Co, Stateside and to Jamsie Doherty, Edward Sweeney, Hughie Mc Daid and Eddie Crawford. Also thanks to all who provided food for the barbecue and to Pat O’Connor, Eddie Crawford and Paddy McGinty for cooking on the night.

Starting Monday next 16th May a salsa and dance exercise class will begin in the hall at 8 15 p.m. Everybody welcome. €5. per night.

A new round of circuit training will start on Monday at 7 00 p.m. and last for ten weeks. €5 per night or €40 for ten weeks.
