WINNING STREAK COMES TO REGIONAL CULTURAL CENTRE IN LETTERKENNY

THE county got a massive tourism boost tonight – when the Regional Cultural Centre was featured on RTE1’s Winning Streak programme.

The Dreamaker draw came from Letterkenny live – and gave the Centre an opportunity to plug the great work there, as well as the Errigal Arts Festival which takes place in July.

Centre director Sean Halligan spoke about the great work of the RCC and how they took art into the community.

“It is about visual arts; there is a great cultural scene in the county and we try to do as many events for people as possible,” said Sean.

And Lorna McLaughlin spoke about the superb musical tradition of the county and how the centre supported the Youth Orchestra, chamber orchestra and the Errigal Groove Orchestra.

Lorcan McAdam from Ballybay, Co Monaghan, missed his son’s First Communion to travel to Donegal to spin the Dreammaker wheel.

And he is going home tonight with €40,000!
