Adrian Hanlon has been dropped from the Donegal senior football panel due to a breach of discipline, Jim McGuinness has confirmed.

“We have dealt with the matter internally and we’re happy enough that it has been dealt with internally,” McGuinness said.

Hanlon, who has been on the county panel since 2009, made a number of substitute appearances in the Allianz Football League campaign but he started at corner-forward in the Ulster SFC clash with Antrim earlier this month.

McGuinness also confirmed that Rory Kavanagh has returned to training with the county.

“Rory would be the only man we’d have a concern over, but at this stage I don’t think he’s a doubt for the Cavan game,” he said.
