GLENVEAGH LAYING ON SUPERB WEEKEND

Glenveagh National Park is laying on some fantastic events this weekend.

Here’s a full run-down of what’s happening.

Sunday 5th June

Guided Tour of the Eviction Sites @ 10am from the Visitor Centre (Booking Essential)

Traditional Music Session @ the Castle

Birds of Prey @ the Castle Gardens

Craft Stalls @ the Visitor Centre

Outdoor History Tour @ 3pm at the Castle

“Petals, Pictures, Poetry & Paint”

7am – Early Morning Wildflower Photography Walk

Meet at the car park at 7am and enjoy a ramble through the park learning how to get the best close up shots of wildflowers with your camera in the company of a professional photogrpher.  Price €15 including breakfast afterwards. Booking Essential.

Art Demonstrations 12-4pm

See an artist at work in the garden area capturing wildflowers through watercolour and oil painting.

Cosmetics Demonstration and Sale 1-3pm @ The Nature Centre

Watch how wild plants and flowers can be used to make soap, ointments and lotions with a local expert.

Guided Walk at 1pm from Visitor Centre

Learn how to identify Wildflowers with a visiting Botanist, as we take a walk off the beaten track and hunt for what Glenveagh has to offer…€5pp

Family Walk and Wildflower Challenge 3.30pm from the Nature Centre

Enjoy a walk and fun activities along the way suitable for all ages,  and learn more about the Wildflowers of Donegal. Free of charge.

Children’s Wildflower Art & Poetry Activities available 12-5pm at the Log Cabin

(on the Derrylahan Nature Trail–follow the signs from the Car Park) Free of charge

Monday 6th June (Bank Holiday)
