FUNERAL PLANS BEING MADE AFTER DEATH OF JOHN WARD

Preparations are being made for the funeral of John Ward, father of John “Frog” Ward who was shot dead by farmer Pádraig Nally while trespassing on his land in 2004.

No funeral details have been released after 74-year-old Mr Ward’s death at Sligo General Hospital yesterday.

Several hundred relatives are expected for the funeral. Mr Ward lived in Ballyshannon, Co Donegal. He had 14 children.
