MORE FANS SLAM RORY GALLAGHER FESTIVAL

EVEN more rock fans have vowed not to return to the Rory Gallagher Festival in Ballyshannon.

Donegaldaily has been bombarded with fans who say the gig is over – for them at least.

Many are disgusted that the Bank Holiday weekend has turned into a drunken escapade…rather than a tribute weekend.

Typical of the reaction is George Malvin who agreed with others that the series of shows had turned into a freak show.

“It has turned into a horrible event that shows Ballyshannon in the worst light possible,” he said.

“As I returned towards the campsite on Saturday evening, a youngster walking towards me pulled out his ***** and started urinating.

“He didnt stop, he just kept walking towards me without any shame. I’ve never seen such bad behaviour anywhere else in the world, and I have been to a lot of festivals.

“Maybe its time to honour Rory Gallagher by taking his name off this travesty of a festival.”

Repeated attempts to get a response from the organisers has failed.
