‘DRAGON’ GALLAGHER HOPING FOR SUPPORT FROM COUNTY COUNCIL

Dragon’s Den star Sean Gallagher is to ask Donegal County Council to back his Presidential bid.

The businessman’s father originally comes from the village of Killygordan.

Cllr Patrick McGowan is to officially table a motion at tomorrow’s county council meeting in Lifford calling for support for Mr Gallagher.

Mr Gallagher says many people do not know there is much more to him than the hard-nosed businessman they see on RTE.

“I spent all my summers in Donegal and it’s a great honour to be back by the people of Donegal.

“Most people know me from Dragon’s Den but I spent many years as a community worker and it will be important to explain I am an ordinary person.

“I have been unemployed many times and I have had to fight back. We all have to work together to fight back.

“I want the idea of community and working together to be the focal point of my campaign and not just business as much as that is so important,” he said.
