Love them or loathe them, Jedward rocked the Donegal Town Summer Festival leaving thousands of young (and not so young!) fans happy.

John and Edward – together they’re Jedward – promised Donegal fans a show and they didn’t disappoint.

Dressed in black jeans and red blazers, the identical twins showed why concert goers of a certain age across the country just can’t get enough of them.

Facebook sites across Donegal are buzzing with reports of the show which helped kick off the festival in Donegal Town.

Maeve Barrett said the Jedward boys were amazing.

“I’m not a Jedward fans but credit where credit is due – the guys were great. They really got the crowd going. They are wired,” she said.

The lads played a number of their songs including the hit Ice Ice Baby/Under Pressure which went down a storm with fans.

And the lads were good enough to pose for the many fans who smothered them looking for autographs and photos.

They’ll be a hard act to follow but the festival committee have lined up a terrific array of talent.

Tonight sees the brilliant Royseven and also Ryan Sheridan and tomorrow sees Ireland’s hardest-working band Aslan belt out all their hits.
