Are you a Jack or a Chloe?

Well you’re in good company if you live in Donegal.

Both names top the list of popular girls and boys names for 2010 for Donegal according to information released to Donegaldaily.com by the Central Statistics Office.

The figures reveal that 40 boys born in 2010 in Donegal were called Jack while 19 girls were christened Chloe.

The list of top ten names shows a return to many traditional names and there is a notable absence of such names as Poppy, Fifi or Sunflower!

Ryan is the second most popular name with 28 boys taking the name while Ciara is the second most popular girls’ name with 18.

And there must still be a lot of Daniel O’Donnell fans out there because Daniel slips in as the tenth most popular boys’ name.

The following is the list of top ten boys’ and girls’ names for Donegal for 2010.
