A major concert featuring 50 acts including Shane McGowan and Goats Don’t Shave has been cancelled.

The Celtic Hooley was due to take place this weekend at the Clanree Hotel.

However it has now been revealed the concert will not now go ahead.

It is still unclear as to the reason why.

The concert was being promoted by JWPromotions but there was no mention of the cancellation on the official website today.

The concert was also due to feature Brush Shiels, Eleanor McEvoy, Cara Dillon and many other major Irish acts.

A spokesman for Goats Don’t Shave, who were due to reform after 15 years, said the band are very disappointed at the cancellation of the concert.

HOwever they have promised to put on another concert on Sunday night.
