OBITUARY NOTICES FOR TODAY, FRIDAY JULY 8TH

SHARKEY

The death has taken place at Letterkenny General Hospital of Dan Sharkey, Loughanure. His removal will take place this evening (Friday) at 5pm from the Chapel of Rest at Letterkenny General Hospital to repose at Margaret Sharkey-Duffy’s home in Loughanure. Removal from there on Sunday morning for 10am mass at St Patricks Chapel, Meenaweel, Crawley and burial immediately afterwards at Maghergallon cemetery.

FRIEL

The death has taken place at Letterkenny General Hospital of Maureen Friel, Lisfannon Heights, Fahan. Her remains reposing at her late residence with her funeral from there tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 10.15 for 11 o’clock requiem mass in St Marys’ Church, Cockhill, Bunrana, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery

MCDERMOTT

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Palla McDermott, 13 Garage Court, Oldtown, Letterkenny. Remains reposing at the family home. Funeral mass tomorrow (Saturday) morning in St Eunan’s Cathedral at 10am with interment afterwards to Conwal Cemetery.

CURRAN

The death has occurred of Micheal (MICKEY) Curran, Glenard park, Long Lane, Letterkenny and formerly of 64 Ard O’Donnell. His remains reposing at his daughter Tanya’s residence at 12 Glenoughty Close, Glencar, Letterkenny. Removal from there tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 11.30am to St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for Requiem Mass at 12 noon with interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.

SHARKEY

The death has taken place at Aras, Gweedore of Seamus Sharkey, Station Road, Falcarragh. Remains reposing at his sister Frances Fitzegerald’s residence at Station Road, Falcaragh. The funeral will take place tomorrow (Saturday) with 12 noon requiem mass in St Finnian’s Church, Falcarragh, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
