Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 18.07.11
Well done to the Minor Hurlers and manager Paddy Flood on bringing home the Co. Championship Trophy last Friday night after a stirring victory over Burt on a scoreline of 3-04 to 0-08. Kevin Meehan scored a goal worthy of winning any final in the second half. It was a great display from the lads whose grit and determination was a joy to watch.
Congratulations to Rory Kavanagh and Kevin Rafferty who picked up Ulster SFC medals in Clones on Sunday. They were both doubtful before the game and unfortunatley, while Rory passed his fitness test, Big Raff was forced to miss out. Rory completed nearly half an hour before a recurrence of his ankle injury forced him out of the action and his loss was keenly felt as Derry went on to level the scores at half time.
