DONEGAL Town’s famous country market has been saved – but it is to be re-located, it was confirmed today.
Cllrs Cora Harvey and Brendan Byrne met County Council officials today in a bid to resolve an ongoing row.
One business owner had objected to the market continuing in the Diamond area of the town after claiming that some goods being sold there breached a council agreement.
Council officials looked set to uphold that complaint.
Donegaldaily.com understands the market will move in September to a new home which is likely to be along the quay.
