DDTV: A TASTE OF DONEGAL FOOD FESTIVAL IS LAUNCHED

A Taste of Donegal’ Food Festival is now in it’s third year and has been a growing success story.

This year the festival on August 26th, 27th and 28th will be bigger and better than ever with more space, more exhibitors and hopefully, even more visitors.

Set against the backdrop of Donegal Town Harbour thousands of people will come along to enjoy the food, drink and atmosphere of this popular event.

Exhibitors always delight with their displays and tastings. The programme of events includes celebrity chef demonstrations, cookery demonstrations, children’s cookery demonstrations and entertainment.

A host of top chefs including our own Conrad Gallagher will be there for this superb weekend.

Here’s this year’s timetable:

August 26th

4.00pm Festival opens
Food & Drink Exhibitors selling produce with tastings
7.00pm Official Opening by Senator David Morris

Music by Barbara Edwards

M.C. for the evening Noel Cunningham

8.00pm Cookery Demonstration by Celebrity Chef Conrad Gallagher (Salon des Saveurs)
9.15pm Dicey Reilly’s
World Beer Tasting Dean Me Guinness (NewsTalk)
10.00pm Short fireworks display over Donegal Bay by Pains Fireworks
11.00pm Festival closes

AUGUST 27TH

11.00am Festival opens
12.30pm Cookery demonstration by Celebrity Chef
Conrad Gallagher (Salon Des Saveurs) and rising star Gary O’Hanlon (Viewmount House)
2.00pm Cookery demonstration by Celebrity Chef
Neven Maguire (McNean House)
3.15pm Wine appreciation and tasting by Richard Finney (The Wine Buff)
4.00pm Cookery demonstration by Celebrity Chef Kevin Dundon sponsored by Kavanaghs Supervalu, Donegal
5.00pm Cookery demonstration by local award winning Chef Anthony Armstrong
6.00pm Entertainment by the Donegal Abbey Singers
7.00pm Festival closes

3.45pm Cookery demonstration by Celebrity Chef Catherine Fulvio (Ballyknocken House and Cookery School)
4.45pm Competition Winners announced and Presentation of Awards
5.15pm Cookery demonstration by local award winning Chef Anthony Armstrong (Donegal Cookery School)
6.00pm Festival closes
