GAA: GAEIL FHANADA’S GAA NOTES

Gaeil Fhánada’s Strictly Come Dancing was a huge success and great praise must go to all the dancers who gave a terrific display in the Milford Inn on Friday night. Congratulations to the five couples who went through to the Grand Final in Downings, Margaret Herron & Colin Mc Ateer , Patricia Blaney & Declan Dorrian , Rachel Mc Ateer & Patrick Mc Conigley, Teresa Coll & Daniel Hall and the outright winners on the night Grace Friel & Seamus Mc Elwaine.

Thanks to all who helped out on the night , the Milford Inn for all their help and the use of the premises, to MC Martin Friel, Lee Gooch on sound and lighting, Anthony Mc Cahill video and DJ Paul Mc Devitt. Special thanks to Anne Biddie who performed during the interval and Michelle Pearson, dance instructor and choreographer who guided 11 couples to an extraordinary performance on the night.

The Grand Final takes place in the Downings Bay Hotel on Friday 12th of August and with very limited tickets available anyone wanting to attend should contact the dancers as soon as possible. Tickets for the final are €10. And a limited number of tickets at €5 are available for the Empire Disco where the performances will be shown on big screens.

U8 training goes ahead on Friday evening at 6.30 in Páirc Uí Shiadhial. New players always welcome.

Lotto: No jackpot winner this week . numbers drawn were: 2,3,5,6,8 bonus 4. €100 winner was Lauren Mc Bride, Clontallagh, Downings and €50 winner was James Mc Ateer, Ballinacrick. Next draw for jackpot of €2250 takes place in Mc Brides this weekend.
