Naomh Mhuire

The under 16s played in the division 1 county championship semi-final against MacCumhaills on Friday evening last in Glenfin. In front a good travelling support this team showed determination, spirit, character and a will to win to force their way into the Division 1 Championship final – a first for the club at underage. Great credit to their coaches Timmy, Sean and Gary. The final will be in a few weeks.

The Seniors are scheduled to play Intermediate Championship on Saturday evening at home to Naomh Colmcille with a 7pm throw. Lets’ get plenty of support. The Reserves are due to play Carndonagh in the Championship and details for this were not finalised. Please see fixtures.

The ladies team have qualified for the league final with the opposition and venue to be decided. This is a great achievement for this young team. Well done to all involved.

The club trip to Gola island is set for this weekend leaving on the ferry from Maghergallon pier (down past GAA and Golf club) from 12:30. Adults 10 euro, Children 5 euro and Family 20 euro including ferry return. Al welcome for what should be a great day.

The u16 girls game was cancelled last week and rescheduled for Tuesday against Cloich Cheann Fhaola.

The club held a hugely successful second coaching week last week at the banks with over 90 kids taking part in the fun and games. The club would like to thank the support from Tradalai Eisc Ui Hannigain Teoranta.

C.L.G. Dun na nGall have launched a major training fund draw which will take place at the end of August and all clubs are asked to participate and support. Tickets can be got from any member of the club committee with tickets priced at 10 euro or 3 tickets for 20 euro – first prize 5,000 euro.

There will be a Club meeting this Thursday evening at the Banks at 8pm.
