OBITUARY NOTICES FOR TODAY – SUNDAY, AUGUST 14TH

McGINLEY (DUBLIN)

The death has occurred at her home at Santry, Dublin of Mrs Ina McGinley, (nee Broderick) formerly of Killarney Road, Castleisland. She is survived by her husband Charlie ‘Dora’ Mc Ginley of Annagry Post Office, daughters Elizabeth and Dorothy, sons Owen and Eamon, her sister Beth and extended family. Remains reposing at her home at Santry from 4pm until 10pm Sunday and Monday. Removal on Tuesday morning from her home to the Church of the Holy Child, Swords Road, Whitehall, arriving at 11.15am for 11.30am Mass. Burial afterwards in Dardistown Cemetery. RIP.

McGINLEY

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice, of Chris (Vincent Christopher) McGinley, Rashdoge, New Mills, Letterkenny. Removal from the hospice on Monday at 12 noon going to his late residence. Removal from there on Tuesday evening at 6pm going to St.Columba’s church Glenswilly to repose overnight. Funeral  Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am, followed by interment in the adjoining Cemetery. Family flowers only please.  Donations in lieu if desired to the Donegal Hospice and the Donegal  branch of the Alzhiemers Society, c/o of any Family member. Family time from 11 pm until 9am. Sadly missed by his loving wife Eileen, brothers John (Glenswilly), Pat (New Jersey), sisters-in-law Bella and Margaret, eight step children, nieces, nephews, relatives and very many friends.

GOAN

The death has taken place of Ita Goan (nee Rice) Cloghbolie Ballyshannon Co Donegal, Reposing at the family home with removal at 10am Tuesday to St Patrick’s Church Ballyshannon for 11am funeral Mass Followed by interment in the Abbey Cemetery. Family Flowers only Donations if desired to North West Hospice c/o Patsy McCauley Funeral Director Belleek.

LONG

The death has taken place at Letterkenny General Hospital of Fan Long, 341 Milltown, Convoy. Her remains are reposing at her home. Funeral from there on Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock, for service in Ballylennon Presbyterian Church followed by burial in the Family Plot. Family 11pm to 11am. Family flowers only.   Donations if desired to the ICU Ward, Letterkenny General Hospital c/o Gibson Funeral Directors Convoy.

McGURRIN

The death has taken place at Sligo General Hospital of Nan McGurrin, nee Sweeney, 19 Magheraboy Estate, Sligo, and formerly of ‘The Fingerpost’, Illistrin, Letterkenny. Her remains will repose at Foley and Mc Gowan Funeral Home in Sligo from 5.30PM today (Sunday), with removal from there to Sligo Cathedral at 7.30pm, arriving at approximately 8pm. Requiem mass tomorrow, Monday at 1pm, followed by burial in Sligo Cemetery. The house is private please.
