The head of the tourism industry for the North West has promised that Donegal will receive a huge push in the coming weeks.
It follows reports that the county’s tourism industry is suffering a very poor season.
However Paul McLoone, Head of Operations for Failte Ireland in the North West, says the season has been similar to other years.
“We will push Donegal for the next three weeks on both national radio and on television to let people see what we have to offer.
“This season is no different to last season and the figures are more or less the same.
“It is a very difficult market considering the economic conditions but those within the tourism industry are working very hard at attracting visitors to the area,” he said.
