OBITUARY NOTICES FOR TODAY – FRIDAY, AUGUST 19th

McGOWAN

The death has taken place of Rose McGowan, nee McGrorry, Carnamadow, Grange, and formerly of Ballintra, Donegal. Remains reposing at McGloin’s Funeral Home, Cliffoney this evening from 6pm, with removal at 7.30pm to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Grange, arriving at 8pm.  Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday at 11 am, with burial afterwards in Ahamlish Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to St John’s Hospital Patient Comfort Fund.

McGONAGLE

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Nora McGonagle, Cloghglass. Remains reposing at her late residence. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 11am in St Columba’s Church, Acres, with interment afterwards in Belcruit Cemetery. House private please from 11pm to 11am. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Oncology unit, Letterkenny General Hospital and the Donegal Hospice, c/o Shaun Mc Glynn, or any family member.

O’DONNELL

The death has taken place at Carndonagh Community Hospital of Hugh O’Donnell, late of Garrareeagh, Gleneely. His remains are reposing at his late residence. Funeral from there tomorrow, Saturday, at 10.15am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Bocan, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

DIVER

The death has occurred at Donegal Community Hospital of Eamon Diver, Doonan, Donegal Town. Removal from the family home tomorrow, Saturday, at 10.30am for 11am Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town, followed by burial on Aranmore Island Family flowers only please – Donations in lieu if desired to Donegal Community HospitalPatients’ Comfort Fund c/o any family member. House private please from 11 o’clock tonight and before the removal tomorrow.

MITCHELL

The death has taken place in the Nursing Unit, Falcarragh of Patrick Mitchell, Ballyboes, Falcarragh. Remains are reposing at his brother in law, John McFadden’s residence at Ballyboes. Funeral tomorrow, Saturday, with Requiem Mass at 12 noon in St Finian’s Church, Falcarragh, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private from 11pm to 10am.
