OBITUARY NOTICES FOR TODAY – SUNDAY, AUGUST 21st

LIKELY

The death has taken place of James Likely, Driminnin, Barnesmore, Donegal and former of The Knather, Ballyshannon at Donegal Hospice Letterkenny. Peacefully. Further Funeral arrangements will be announced later. All enquiries to Patrick McKenna and Paddy Fox funeral director Ballyshannon on 087 2485819. House is private to family at Driminnin until remains arrive.

BRESLIN

The death has occurred of Jim Breslin, Lower End, Mountcharles, at Donegal Community Hospital, Donegal Town. Remains leaving the hospital on Monday evening at 6pm to his late residence.  Removal from his residence on Tuesday morning for 11am Requiem Mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart Mountcharles. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

CARR

The death has taken place in Dungloe District Hospital of Kitty Carr, Fair Hill, Dungloe and formerly of Derrydrual. Remains reposing at McGlynn’s Funeral Home, Chapel Road with  Rosary at 9pm. Removal from there tomorrow, Monday, going to St. Cronas Church for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

WATTS

The death has taken place in Altnagelvin Hospital of Keith Watts, Lisnakelly, Buncrana. Remains reposing at his late residence. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 12 noon, going to St Mary’s Oratory Buncrana for Requiem Mass at 1pm. Interment afterwards in Cockhill Cemetery. Family flowers only.  Donations in lieu if desired to the Chest Heart and Stroke Unit, Altnigalven Hospital c/o McKinney Funeral Directors, Buncrana

McGONAGLE

The death has taken place of Rose McGonagle, Grove Cottages, Muff. Funeral from her home on Monday at 10.25am for Requiem Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Muff at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

McNEILIS

The death has taken place at Letterkenny General Hospital of Jimmy McNeilis, Oston Murragh Castle, Glencolmcille and formerly of Bellard, Glencolmcille. Removal from the Chapel of Rest, Letterkenny Hospital tomorrow 5pm on Monday going to St Columba’s Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille to arrive at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am. Interment afterwards in the local Cemetery.

GALLAGHER

The death has occurred at Letterkenny General Hospital of May Gallagher, nee Wilkie, Trimagh, Letterkenny. Funeral Mass on Monday Morning at 11am at the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine. Interment afterwards to Leck Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Surgical One, Letterkenny General Hospital – c/o Con McDaid, Oldtown, Letterkenny.

GILLEN

The death has taken place at Letterkenny General Hospital of Rose Gillen (nee McLauglin) late of 6 Wood Kerns, Malin Road, Moville. Remains reposing at her late residence. Funeral from there on Monday at 10.15 for Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Bocan, Culdaff at 11am. Interment afterwards in Ballinacrea Cemetery.
