OBITUARY NOTICES FOR WEDNESDAY AUGUST 24TH, 2011

WALSH

The death has taken place of Michael (Liskie) Walsh of Hillhead, Ardara. Sadly missed by his partner Marian, sons Barry and Pierce, daughter Leona, mother Mary, brothers, sisters, son-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow from 7pm on Wednesday with prayers at 9pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 9.30am to the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow to arrive for funeral Mass at 10am. Removal afterwards to the Church of the Holy Family, Ardra, Donegal for funeral mass on Friday morning at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.  Family flowers only, donation in lieu to the Friends of the District Hospital, Carlow.

SHANNON

The death has occurred of Jerry Shannon of 18A The Woods Buncrana and formerly of Glasgow. Remains arriving at St Thomas’s Church, Cumberland Road, Glasgow at 6pm this Wednesday evening. Requiem Mass tomorrow, Thursday morning, at 10.30am with burial afterwards to St Peter’s Cemetery, Delbeth, Glasgow. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to The Donegal Hospice.

FRIEL

The death has been announced of Brigid Friel of 364 Glencar Irish, Letterkenny. Reposing at home. Funeral mass in the Church of the Irish Martyrs tomorrow, Thursday morning, at 11am, followed by burial in Leck Cemetery. House private tonight, Wednesday, from 11pm and before the funeral tomorrow morning.

FREELAND

The death has taken place of Jake Freeland of Ranafast and formerly of Glasgow. Reposing at his late residence in Ranafast, tomorrow, Thursday evening, from 7pm approximately. Removal on Friday morning at 10.30am going to the Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, for 11am Requiem mass. Burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Parish Funds.
