ROSAPENNA GOLF CLUB NOTES

The St Andrews Cup on Sunday 19th of September was won by Hugo Duggan 19 with 38 pts.

Runner up was Shaun Boyce 11 with 36 pts.

Well done to our Donegal League team who beat Portsalon 4-1 (10 holes up) on the Sandy Hills

Links last Sunday in the first leg of this years final. The return leg will be played in Portsalon on Sunday the 2nd of October. All members of the panel are asked to travelon the day to support the Rosapenna team.

With just one competition left in the golfer of the year competition the table is as follows-

The Starters Cup which will be played for this Sunday the 25th is the last competition in the 2011 Golfer of the Year competition.

All members must book a tee time on a Saturday & Sunday to avoid disappointment and to allow the first tee to operate efficiently.

Cutting in at the 10th tee on the Old Links is strictly not permitted at any time at weekends.

Tee times can be booked via the Pavilion Golf Shop between 8am & 4pm everyday.

The Sandy Hills Links is strictly green fee only and all players must check in with the Pavilion Golf Shop before play.

The Pavilion Restaurant is open every Saturday & Sunday night.

A new Sunday night set menu will be available from this Sunday from 4.30pm – 8.00pm with two courses for 20e, three courses for 25 euro. Contact 074-915-5000 for reservations.

The RNLI golf competition takes place on the Sandy Hills Links this Saturday, 24th September and the time sheet is available at (087) 2477-595 at weekends or on (074) 91-55965 during the week.

This will be a singles stable ford event for both ladies & gents and the entry fee of €30 also includes a buffet supper in the Rosapenna Golf Pavilion at 9pm after which there will be the presentation of prizes.

The annual golf classic in Aid of Niall Mellon Township Trust will take place on the Sandy Hills Links at Rosapenna on Saturday October 1st at €100 per Team.

The format is 4-Ball Scramble (any combination). Time sheet in operation.

The Captains Weekend to Ballyliffin G.C will take place on Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th October.

The weekend includes one round of golf on each links on Sat & Sun with dinner, bed & breakfast in the Ballyliffin Hotel. The total cost to include prizes for both days is 120e per player.

Names are being taken by Frank Jnr in the Pavilion Golf Shop secured with a deposit of 50e per player. The 70e balance must be paid on Saturday the 8th before the golf.

Tee times – Saturday 8th Glashedy Links from 12.50, Sunday 9th Old Links from 13.00.

PGA Professional Noel Callan is available for lessons at the Rosapenna Practice Ground every Thursday and selected other days by appointment, all enquires can be made by contacting Noel directly on 0044 7789 157654.
