DANA GETS COUNCIL SUPPORT

DANA Rosemary Scallon has been formally nominated by Donegal County Council at a meeting in Lifford today.

On a recorded vote, councillors voted 19 votes to 0 to support her right to be on the ballot paper for the Presidency next month.

Cllr Dessie Larkin said the vote was “important for democracy.”

Dana said she was “absolutely delighted” to have been supported by Donegal County Council.
