After two disappointing days organisers of the Eurosurf in Bundoran are hoping the competition can get back on track today.

The good and calm weather has not made for ideal conditions for big waves in the past couple of days.

But organisers are hoping that will change today with a bit of a wind beginning to take up.

Thousands of surf fans have been in Bundoran for the past week for the championships and it is estimated more than €10 million will be riase for the local economy in Donegal.

Ireland are currently sitting sixth in the competition and organisers hope the competition will resume around now.

Weather permitting, it is hoped the finals of the competition will be held this Sunday.
