IT’S OVER: GLENSWILLY ARE COUNTY CHAMPIONS

60+1 Free for St Michael’s. Just two points in it as…. Colm McFadden misses.  There will be three minutes of injury time. St Michael’s pull a point back through Anthony McFadden. It’s Glenswilly 1-8, St Michael’s 0-9.

58 Mins: Two minutes lef. Glenswilly in the ascendancy.

56 Mins: Michael Murphy takes a superb 45. It’s a three points lead for Glenswilly. They have 1-8 to St Michael’s 0-8.

54 Mins: Murphy doesn’t miss this time. A great point from him. It’s 1-7 to 0-8 to Glenswilly. Five minutes left and Glen are two points up.

53 Mins: Michael Murphy misses from a free.

51 Mins: St Michael’s turn on the pressure again but a pass from McFadden goes astray and a goal chance is gone. Brian McLaughlin clears the ball. Still a point in it. Some tougher challenges going in. Christy Toye is off after a slap in the face. Yellow card show to Bonner.

49 Mins: Glenswilly into the lead again as Michael Murphy takes his point when the whole stadium expected him to take a shot at goal. It’s 1-6 to 0-8 in favour of Glenswilly. Superb superb final.

48 Mins: IT’S ALL SQUARE AGAIN! Another county star – Christy Toye – scores a brilliant point from 25 yards out on the left. It’s 1-5 to 0-8.

46 Mins: More than 6,000 at this game and everyone is on the edge of their seats. Just a point in this. Glenswilly 1-5, St Michael’s 0-7.

44 Mins: St Michael’s coming back, but miss a chance to create a goal as Glen’s Neil Gallagher intercepts.

43 Mins: St Michael’s go up the other end and Christy Toye scores a great point to reduce the lead back to a point. It’s 1-5 to 0-7.

42 Mins: IT’S A GOAL!!!!! Michael Murphy wins a high ball, turns and buries the ball into the St Michael’s net. It’s 1-5 to 0-6. This is a great game.

40 Mins: St Michael’s take the lead. They played the ball up from defence and cool heads from Christy Toye sees the ball released to Martin McElhinney who scores a great point. It’s 0-6 to 0-5.

39 Mins: Glenswilly win a free on the left, but Murphy’s inswinging kick falls short and St Michael’s clear.

37 Mins: St Michael’s are on the attack again but miss the chance to go into the lead as Brian McLaughlin’s shot from 40 yards goes wide.

36 Mins: It’s all square again as St Michael’s go up the other end and star forward Colm McFadden swivels to point. Five points each.

34 Mins: Glenswilly take the lead again. Murphy wins another free from a high ball and takes the kick himself. It’s 0-5 to 0-4 to Glenswilly. Free looks harsh in replay. Stephen Black also gets a ywllow card.

31 Mins: St Michael’s get their own chance at the other end but it goes safely into the arms of the Glen keeper.

3O MINS: THE second half is underway here in the county final between St Michael’s and Glenswilly. It’s four points each. Glenswilly get first chance within seconds but it goes wide.

9 Mins St Michael’s Brian McLaughlin goes into the referee’s book for a high challenge in midfield.

12 mins: St Michael’s hit two successive wides as Christy Toye starts to play well for his side. The Dunfanaghy and Creeslough men are getting better.

13 mins: Colm McFadden wins the ball against all the odds but shoots soccer-style and it is an easy save for the keeper.

14 mins: Point for St Michael’s as Christy Toye scores. It’s now 0-2 to 0-1 for Glenswilly. All the points from county stars so far.

16 mins: Glenswilly win a 45 after some good play. Murphy hits the upright.

17 mins: Glenswilly score again; it’s 0-3 to 0-1 as James Pat McDaid scores.

18 mins: Murphy scores again with a lovely point from play 25 yards out. 0-4 to 0-1 in fav our of Glenswilly.

19mins: Toye is at the other end for St Michael’s but his shot goes straight to the keeper.

20: mins Some great work by St Michael’s as Ciaran Gallagher hits the ball wide when he should have scored.

Great crowd here at MacCumhaill Park for the county final. It’s a decent day.

23 mins: St Michael’s win a free 35 yards out and Colm McFadden scores from the free. It’s Glenswilly 0-4, St Michael’s 0-2.

25mins. For all their better possession, Glenswilly are now just a point ahead as St Michael’s score a great point. Daniel McLaughlin scores a great point.

26 mins: Chance for the equaliser goes wide as Michael McGinley.

27 mins: AND IT’S ALL SQUARE> Colm McFadden scores a great point from play. It’s four points each.

28 mins: St Michael’s clear what could have been a goal chance. Glenswilly’s Joe Gibbons booked for a very high challenge on Sean McLaughlin. It has been a clean enough game up until now. Let’s hope it stays that way.

30 mins: There will be three minutes of injury time.

HALF TIME IN BALLYBOFEY: IT’S GLENSWILLY 0-4, ST MICHAEL’S 0-4.

Probably a fair enough score after the first 30 minutes. Glenswilly definitely settled first and their scores reflected that. There were a few nerves among the Michael’s players in the early part of the game but they settled down as the game progressed.
