The following are a list of topics, questions and motions which will come before tonight’s meeting of Letterkenny Town Council.

DEPUTATION: The council will receive a deputation from the North West Alcohol Forum.

SPEED: The council is to be asked to place some form of speed restrictions for cars exiting the back of the Courthouse and AIB as serious speeding takes place according to Cllr Tagdh Culbert.

POINTING THE FINGER: Cllr Dessie Larkin will ask the council to act immediately on the reduction in license fee for finger post signs that will lead to a sizeable reduction in illegal signage.

RESURFACING: The resurfacing of the Windyhall Road in the Roadworks Programme for 2012 will be demanded by Cllr Ciaran Brogan.

TRUE GRIT: Cllr Tagdh Culbert will demand the council take immediate steps to discuss plans for winter gritting during the coming winter months. “We also must bring in interested residents associations and individuals to maximize and plan and co-ordinate the great efforts of the council staff,” he said.

RENT: Cllr Dessie Larkin is to ask the council when the rent supplement system will be transferred to Letterkenny town form the Department of Social Protection.
