The Minor teams good run came to an end in Convoy on Sunday last when they were defeated by Four Masters by a single point. Even though we conceded soft goals in the opening ten minutes we recovered well and were four pts up going into the last quarter. The boys from Donegal Town finished the game off with five unanswered pts. On the day Aron Diver, Ciaran Cannon and Odhran McMacken stood out for the Gaels. Thanks to all the players and team management for their hard work throughout the season.

The inaugural Liam Emery Memorial hurling tournament took place in Páirc na Gael last Sunday. U12 teams from Dungloe, Setanta and Four Masters took part with the Gaels boys and girls. In competitive, good spirited matches between the teams, Gaels won the Liam Emery Shield. Norma and Declan Emery presented all players and managers with commemorative medals and remembered Liam’s love of hurling. Thanks to all teams and mentors who took part, to all who made refreshments on the day and to the Emery family.
