PADDY POWER SLASHES ODDS ON DONEGAL HAVING A WHITE CHRISTMAS AND F-F-F-FREEZING WINTER

Top Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has slashed the odds on Donegal having a freezing winter and a white Christmas!

The leading bookie has followed up on recent reports by weather forecasters who are predicting one of the most chilling winters on record.

He has slashed the odds on Dublin getting a white Christmas to 7/2 and also the chances of this winter being the coldest on record down to 11/2.

But Paddy told Doneagldaily.com that he is now considering dropping the odds even further for Donegal!

“I know for a fact that when it’s cold in Dublin then it’s generally freezing in Donegal.

“The recent forecasts by a number of reputable weather forecasters would suggest we’re in for a long, cold winter.

“We have cut the possibility of a white Christmas down to 7/2 in Dublin but we may have to looks at those odds again for Donegal,” he said.

Paddy Power is also taking punts on the lowest recorded temperature of the season. Odds of 13/2 have been placed on mercury levels dipping below minus 17.1c.

Last year temperatures in nearby Castlederg reached a bone-chilling minus 17 while some parts of Donegal reached minus 16.
