DONEGAL SPORTS PARTNERSHIP NOW OPEN FOR GRANT APPLICATIONS

Donegal Sports Partnership have announced that applications are now open for the 2011 Club Development Grants Scheme.

This funding which is application based provides opportunities for small grants to sports clubs based in County Donegal under two headings, Participation Programmes or Education & Training.

The fund which is only open to clubs who are fully registered with their Governing Body of Sport provides support for education & training programmes such as Child Protection or Children’s Officer Training, Accredited Coach Education, Sports Leadership Courses, Disability Awareness or Sports First Aid.

Through the Participation Programme, applications for initiatives that encourage greater participation in sport and physical activity in clubs will be welcomed; these initiatives must be in addition to regular or current club programmes.

Application forms are downloadable via the Active Donegal Website or by applying in writing to: Donegal Sports Partnership, Pearse Road, Letterkenny, Co Donegal enclosing a 95c stamped self-addressed A4 envelope.

The closing date for receipt of application forms is 12:00 noon on Wednesday 9th November 2011.

Please note that late applications will not be considered.
