DONEGAL DEATH NOTICES FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2011

GALLAGHER

The death has occurred of Danny Gallagher, Doon, Termon. His remains will leave Letterkenny General Hospital tomorrow, Monday, at a time to be confirmed later. Funeral arrangements will be confirmed later.

GRIER

The death has taken place of Terry Grier, former Garda Inspector, Tara, Dublin Road, Dundalk, County Louth, and formerly of The Glen, Ramelton. He died peacefully, at home, surrounded by his devoted family. Beloved husband of Patsy and much loved father of Āine, Paul, Aidan, Dermot and Miriam; deeply and sincerely regretted by his loving wife, sons, daughters, sons-in-law Dave and Rorie, daughter-in-law Fiona, grandchildren Erin, Terry, Liam and Ciara, his brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.His remains are reposing at his home in Dundalk. Removal from there on Tuesday at 10.15am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Dundalk, followed by burial in Haggardstown Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Palliative Care, c/o Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk.

BONAR

The death has taken place at her home of Josephine Bonar, Donegal Road, Ballybofey, surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her sons John and Gerard, daughter Sheila, daughter-in-law Sheila, grandchildren Seamus, Patrick, John, Charles, Evelyn and Greete. Funeral from her home on Tuesday at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Stranorlar, followed by interment in Drumboe Cemetery. Family flowers only please.

MCGLINCHEY

The death has occurred of Father James McGlinchey of Buncrana, Co Donegal. Retired C.C. Desertegney, Buncrana, native of Aughnamerrigan, Gortin, Co. Tyrone. Funeral Mass at The Star of The Sea Church, Desertegney tomorrow, Monday, at 12 noon with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

STRAIN

The death has taken place at Letterkenny General Hospital of Philomena Strain of Main Street Kilmacrennan. Reposing at her home. Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Kilmacrennan, at 12 noon tomorrow, Monday, followed by internment in the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by her brother Fr. Willie, sister Maura, sister-in-law Pauline, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

O’DONNELL

The death has occurred of Michael John O’Donnell of Thoer, Inver. Peacefully, at Letterkenny General Hospital. Reposing at the family home. Removal tomorrow, Monday, at 10.15am for 11am Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Frosses. Interment afterwards in Cranny Road Cemetery. Sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters and extended family.
