PARISHONERS in Co Donegal can get their hands on a little piece of Church history – literally – from this week.
Pieces of the spire from St Eunan’s Cathedral in Letterkenny go on sale this Tuesday…priced at €17.50 each.
The small pieces of stone were removed from the spire during recent restoration work by Letterkenny sculptor Redmond Herrity.
He has hand-crafted each piece and marked it with a cross.
The rare gift items will be for sale at the parochial house and at the Veritas shop on Lower Main Street in Letterkenny.
Money from the sale will go towards paying the bills for the recent renovation of the Cathedral.
