DONEGAL DEATH NOTICES FOR FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2011

SWEENEY (GLASGOW)

The death has taken place in Glasgow, Scotland of Mickey Sweeney (Biddy), Tory Glen and Carnmunock Road, Glasgow and formerly of Araheera, Fanad Head. His remains will be reposing at Carmunock Road, Glasgow. Removal this evening to Christ the King Church, Carmunock Road to repose overnight. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10am with burial afterwards at Linn Cemetery.

McGLYNN

The death has taken place of Mary Mc Glynn, Knocknamona, Letterkenny. Her remains are reposing at her home. Funeral from there on Sunday at at 1.15pm for Funeral Mass at 2pm in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine, followed by burial in the family plot at Conwal Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Donegal Hospice c/o Pascal Blake Funeral Director, Stoney Arch, New Line Road, Letterkenny.

GALLAGHER

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Christopher Gallagher, Lower Mount Marian, Milford. Removal from the hospice today at 6pm going to his late residence. Funeral arrangements will be confirmed later.

McDAID

The death has taken place at Letterkenny General Hospital of Mary Mc Daid, Bonamaine, Bridgend. Her remains are reposing at her late residence. Funeral from her late residence on Sunday at 10.15am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Aengus’ Church, Burt, followed by burial in Burt Cemetery. Family time please from 11pm to 10am.

GRANT

The death has occurred at Letterkenny General Hospital of Catherine Grant (Cassie), Sarida, Ballymcgann, Buncrana. Her remains are reposing at her nephew Brian’s residence at Sarida, Ballymagann. Funeral from there on Sunday at 10.10am for 11am Mass in St Marys Church, Cockhill, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

QUINLIVAN

The death has occurred at her home of Bridie Quinlivan, nee Peoples, Milford, and 44 College Park, Glencar, Letterkenny. Remains are reposing at her home in College Park. Funeral from there tomorrow, Saturday, at 10.15am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Eunan’s Cathedral, followed by burial in Conwal Cemetery.

McLAUGHLIN

The death has taken place at his late residence of Daniel McLaughlin (Craig) Carrickmaquigley, Redcastle. Funeral from his residence on Saturday at 10.15am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Drung with burial afterwards in the adjoining  cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to The Surgical 2 Ward, Letterkenny General Hospital c/o Collins and McDermott Funeral Directors or any family member.
