AN POST DELIVERS IN DONEGAL WITH HIGH-TECH SCANNERS!

More than 200 postmen and women across Donegal have officially gone hi-tech!

The An Post employees are part of a scheme which is being rolled out across the country to use the latest Intermec CN50 scanner.

Instead of having to sign their name on the receipt sheet for registered letters, postmen can now just scan the items.

People who have sent the registered items can then tell almost instantly if their letter or parcel has been delivered to the address in Donegal.

One postman said “It’s a great piece of equipment but I would like to drop it.

“They’ll be giving us our own teleporters next so we won’t need the bikes or the vans.”
