Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 14.11.11

Hard luck to the Juniors on losing their Co. Final to Naomh Ultan on Sunday in Donegal Town. After a long year with very little football until recent weeks it was a tough loss to take for players that trained week after week with no sign of a game right through the Summer. Andrew, Brian and the lads can be proud of their efforts this year and they complete their League campaign with  a home game against St. Michael’s this Sunday with a 2:30pm throw-in at home in the Park. Thanks to Terry McEniff and staff for the excellent meal after the game in the Mt. Errigal and to the supporters that travelled to Tir Conaill Park.

The Minor footballers will be in action in the Ulster Championship on Decmeber 11th. More details in the coming weeks.

The U-16 hurlers have a game this week. We are awaiting details.

U-10 indoor hurling training has started on Wednesday’s in the Aura from 7pm – 8pm. U-12 indoor Camogie training also Wed 7-8pm in the Aura. The U6/U8 hurling/camogie Academies have also returned on Friday’s in the LYIT sports hall 6:30-7:30pm. As per usual there is a small charge (€3) to help fund the room hire. New members welcome.

There will be a General Club Meeting next Tuesday, November 22nd in the Clubhouse at 7:30pm to further discuss and update the Boundary issue. All club members welcome.

The date for the Minor Board AGM will be set this week. It is likely to take place in early December so all team managers and officers are asked to start submitting their reports to Tracey McVeigh (tracey_mcveigh@yahoo.co.uk) asap.

Best of luck to Junior player Sean Feeney who takes part in the Charity boxing next week in aid of the Children’s Hospital.

Best wishes to Shane McGeever as he heads Down Under this weekend.

There were 3 winners in this week’s Lotto Draw with each matching 3 numbers and winning €35. Martin O’Donnell, Tullygay (Adrian), Sean Grant, Orchard Grove and Eugene Sullivan, The Fairways. 2-3-7-13 were this week’s winning numbers.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Vincent McGlynn and his family on the sudden passing of his mother, Mary. May she Rest In Peace.
