The annual British and Irish Masters cross country international happens this Saturday in Glasgow and continuing the long association Finn Valley have had with this event going back many years.
The 2011 programme will include 3 of our club members Kieran Carlin former Ulster and Donegal cross champion and Castlederg native and an athlete that brings experience of having competed in the race for many years.
Dominic Bonner the tough teak Gweedore man that has delivered for the club time and time again and like Kieran has done it all many times.
The new kid in this world is Catherine Brogan from Stranorlar gaining her first vest so from that prospect its really exciting. We wish all three best of luck.
On Sunday it’s Sligo racecourse even ages and transport if required leaves 8-30 from the Centre first race 11-30 hopes of success are high. All the preparation is complete so it’s up to the young guns to have a right good go and see where it brings them.
Ann Mc Gill got an underage walking group underway Tuesday night and first indications are encouraging.
Mary Martin has established a very enthusiastic women’s jogging group 7pm Monday and Wednesday – all welcome.
