BREAKING NEWS: Customs officers have raided a petrol station in Drumkeen.

Officers launched the operation just before lunchtime at the Drumkeen service station.

A number of officers dressed in high-visibility jackets carried out various operations at the petrol station on the N13 at Callan.

Our exclusive picture shows the customs officers and Gardai with a number of large tankers at the petrol station.

Officers were also searching through storage containers at the side of the premises.

A large ENVA storage tanker, which is used to carry waste products, was parked at the front of the petrol station.

A spokesman for the Revenue Commissioners confirmed to Donegaldaily.com that an operation is taking place at the premises.

“There is an operation taking place at the premises but we cannot say anything else at this stage,” he said.

However we understand that the raid does not involve investigations into laundered fuel but centres around licensing issues.
