Daniel McGarrigle is a man on a mission.

The young Letterkenny graduate’s short film Brighter Days is part of a unique experiment in social media.

He has been pitted against a Derry film to see which can get the most exposure before midnight tomorrow, Thursday, 24th November.

The film tells about the life and times of Daniel’s grandfather Colm Melly who hails originally from The Rosses.

We here at Donegaldaily.com don’t believe we should get behind a Donegal man but we believe that Daniel is a talented and gifted young film-maker.

We are encouraging as many people as possible to log onto Daniel’s film we is a unique snapshot of Donegal life which will never be recaptured.

The challenge to get the most exposure has ben set by the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny as part of its Short Stories Conference which takes place this Friday.

Log on and enjoy.
