Donegal soccer sensation Seamus Coleman has said he still finds it hard to believe he has become famous.
The 23 year old Killybegs man admits that he still has to pinch himself to believe he is playing for Everton in the Premiership.
“I still find it hard to believe that kids want their picture taken wit me or have my name on their shirt. I appreciate it all.
“I’d never turn down a kid or anyone who wanted a photo or an autograph. I wouldn’t feel right. If I can help I always will,” said Seamus.
The former Sligo Rovers man says he will fight tooth and nail to get a chance to be on the plane to Poland for the European Championships next summer.
“There are going to be a few players who will lose out. There will be players in the squad who will be confident of going and for others it will be a fight to get in.
“That’s how I see it. I just have to keep playing well week in and week out for Everton and force my way in. I don’t want to be one of the people who lose out – no way,” he said.
Coleman also dismissed rumours that he is about to leave Everton for their Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
“I saw those rumours and I haven’t a clue where they came from. It’s ridiculous.
“I’m very happy here. I love it. This club is very special and I’ll be here for the long haul and making sure I stay in the team. I won’t be going to Liverpool,” he said.
