A total of eight members of the McLaughlin family from Carrickmaquigley, Redcastle, Co. Donegal, made the long journey from Moville to Dublin this morning to collect their win. Because of the length of the journey, Kathleen’s husband, Robert, stayed in Donegal.
As well as herself and her husband, Kathleen’s four daughters and three sons are members of the family’s Lotto syndicate and they take it in turns to purchase their Lotto ticket.
Last Friday, it was Kathleen’s turn and she purchased the €4 Quickpick ticket which resulted in the jackpot heading to Donegal for Christmas 2011. The lucky ticket was sold in Farren’s Ice Cream Company Ltd.,7 Main Street, Moville, Co. Donegal. The lucky agent is Denis Foynes and it is the first time that his store has sold a Lotto jackpot winning ticket.
