A Derry man has been quizzed by Gardai after 3,000 counterfeit DvDs were seized today.
The items – including some featuring the hit movie The Guard – were taken when gardai raided the ‘Movies2Go’ shop outside Carrigans.
The Irish National Federation Against Copyright Theft (INFACT) believe the DvDs were made in the North.
The fake films were sold for around €5 – €13 cheaper than the real thing.
The quality of the counterfeit DVDs is said to be “extremely poor.”
