ENYA’S FEAR FOR HER SAFETY AS LOCAL GARDA STATION CLOSES

written by Stephen Maguire December 9, 2011

The Donegal public might be up in arms about losing their Garda stations.

But the cutbacks mean that not even multi-millionaire singers like Enya can be guaranteed protection by the boys in blue.

Enya’s local Garda station in Dalkey will be closed for good in the New Year.

The Orinocco Flow star has had a number of close shaves with fanatical fans at her castle in the posh south Dublin suburb.

In 2009 a fan stalked her outside her home and before that in 2005, she had to hide in a panic room after another fan broke into her home.

On another occasion a fanatical fan stabbed himself outside her father Leo’s bar outside Crolly.
