TIME TO GET THE CHRISTMAS TREE….SEND US YOUR BEST PICTURES!

IT’S two weeks to Christmas – and time to get the Christmas tree up.

And there’s probably nowhere busier than the special Coillte Christmas tree shop in Letterkenny.

Located at the back of Charley’s Cafe in the town, there was a steady flow of cars on Sunday to pick up top quality trees.

Our picture shows Micheal McBride drilling a hole in the bottom of a tree, before attaching it to its very own log holder.

“It’s definitely getting busier,” Michael told donegaldaily.com.

“Most people still love a real tree and that’s what you get here – a real tree grown here in Ireland by local people.

“Some people have had trouble finding us, but if you are in the one-way system, take the next turn to the right after the turn for McDonald’s on the Pearse Road and you can’t miss us.”

Below is how the tree ended up – not bad at all.

We reckon Santa will love it.

Now we want you to send us your Christmas tree pix!

The winner of the best picture wins lunch for two at a choice of Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny or the Mill Park Hotel in Donegal Town.

Winner will be announced on Christmas Eve.

So get snapping!
