Both Donegal Sinn Fein Deputies have said they will not pay the €100 household charge.
TDS Pearse Doherty and Padraig MacLochlainn said they have taken the decision after discussions with their families.
“I don’t believe the Government should have brought this in. They have had options but they have refused to listen,” said Pearse Doherty.
Independent TD Thomas Pringle was one of the first Dail representatives to declare he will not pay the charge.
There are now more than 12 TDs who have said they will not pay the charge which is due to come into law next year.
